We converted this site built beer cooler from two water-cooled condensing units to an air-cooled condensing unit. The most interesting aspects of this project where the cost saving achieved from the reduction in water consumption and the free heat generated from the condensing unit for the loading bay. The cost savings in water consumption will pay for the project in under 2 years. What an excellent pay back! The heat in the loading area in the winter adds a great deal to comfort and negates the requirement for supplimental heat; resulting in additional cost savings. A simple ventilation system takes care of the heat genereated by the condensing unit in the summer. As an added bonus the beer is colder than ever before!
